HOORAY... We are back to the full team this week. Welcome back Mark Malcom Gary Matthew!
HOORAY... Andy joined us. Thank you Andy - your contribution was much appreciated.
BOOOOO... It is the last session of this season.

Many stories this week for you, including Maudies boots - a bench - your humble authors boots - a new plant sighting - plus a whole wodge of pics we just want to share.

Let's start with Maudies boots.

Imagine the scene:- It's 10:00am, we are hungover, the clocks have gone forward, Maudies making sandwiches and I'm loading the car with chainsaw, wheelbarrow, gloves, overalls, chairs, table, saw, safety helmet and stuff.

Your humble author shouts "Which wellies do you want, the pink ones or the cow print ones?", "Err, err err ... pink".

We arrive at the Jubilee Walk car park, "Where's me wellies?", "Err, err, err ... at home".
Thankfully Ron has a spare pair of size 7 boots in his boot and Maudie has to wear them (she is a size 5!). Sorry Maudie.

Boot Disaster.

Your humble authors boots finally gave way...

I have had these little beauties for 15 years. The cheapest pair of Hi-Tec available at the time, and the sole and uppers finally parted company today. They will be buried with a full 12-gun salute at the bottom of our garden.

Trudi and Graham thankfully had some spare laces (who carries spare laces?) and I was soon hobbling around with the coldest and wettest (is that a word?) feet of the season since my wellies gave up the ghost.

We spotted a plant we had not seen down the Walk before... Coltsfoot.

We think it has lain dormant for years and has only come out since we have cleared the banks.
A lovely reminder of why we do this and how we are actually making a difference.

Finally, some pics we took today, including blue and white Dog Violet.

Thats It Folks. We have finished for the season. We are going to enjoy the summer.

On the 11th April 2010 we will be going to see the "fair" at Newnham Paddocks, and then pop back regularly to see how the Jubilee Walk is doing during the summer of 2010.

See you down at the walk in September.

Enjoy the site, but more importantly come and enjoy the Jubilee Walk.
