FIRST SESSION AT THE JUBILEE WALK, LEIRE.

16th September 2007

Excited by our new project we started by the entrance (at the bottom of the steps).

We got out our hand saws, pruners and firelighters and merrily cleared an area by the 2 signs indicating the walk.

Whilst Ron, Trudie and Graham chopped down trees and burnt 'em, Jill cleared the pathways from the car park to the steps.
Mike just kept getting in the way taking very bad out-of focus pics!

Needless to say we got carried away in our enthusiasm and worked too hard - boy we suffered the next day.

It was fantastic though to see 2 or 3 years of work ahead - just for others to enjoy and appreciate this wonderful corner of Leicestershire.
