RECIPES
It may surprise you to find out that amongst us are some gourmets. Quite often a contest breaks out as to who has got the poshest, tastiest or sometimes just downright winning snack.
Thought it would be fun to put here some of our fave snacks and stuff. Hope you enjoy.
Your humble authors sandwich from 17th Jan 2010.
The bread is homemade in a machine and the filling (honey glazed chicken breast with pea and spinach puree) was a leftover from dinner with our mate Liz from the previous night.

Bread..
Using a breadmaker, follow the recipe for normal white bread. Before you pop the tin in the machine, add a teaspoon of Marmite and a handfull of Porridge Oats. I use a bag of cheap oats that you normally just add water to make porridge.
Honey Glazed Chicken...
Mix a teaspoon of mustard (I used Dijon coz that's what we had in the fridge), a teaspoon of honey, a tiny splosh of White Wine Vinegar and a tiny bit of hot water to melt the honey.
Marinade the chicken breasts for as long as you can be bothered and bake in the oven at 220degrees for about 30 minutes.
Pea and Spinach puree...
Put an half inch of water in a pan. Add frozen peas and fozen spinach. Cook 'em.
Drain, return to pan, add a knob of Flora and some pepper. Whizz them up. Voila.
More recipes to follow.
